We are really excited to introduce our Backcountry Adventure Camp which is being sponsored by Ellis Brigham Mountain Sports
If you are a good piste skiier and you fancy doing something more challenging this winter, then the Backcountry Adventure Camp will give you a fully guided taste of quality off-piste skiing at it's best.
This week is a fantastic opportunity to develop your ski-touring technique whilst exploring the amazing off-piste terrain that Morzine and the Portes Du Soleil has to offer. Highly experienced, qualified instructors and guides will help you improve your skills, ensure that you use all the equipment correctly and safely, and also provide instruction on avalanche safety.
After each fun and challenging day on the slopes you will return to the comfort and luxury of La Ferme à Jules. You can ease your aches and pains away in the hot tub and sauna, relax in front of the fire with a glass in your hand and then store up energy for the next day with a delicious 4-course meal.
Cost: €1195 (Based on 2 people sharing a double/twin room)

How good do you need to be to take part?
You should have at least a couple of weeks off piste skiing experience and/or received some previous instruction on an off piste specific course. You will be able to link together at least 8 – 10 turns off-piste in reasonable control, speed and style, following the fall line in most snow conditions. This course will help you improve your skiing in deep powder, heavy crusty snow uneven terrain and trees. You need to be happy to hike or ski tour for short distances to get to the best snow and terrain. In short, you want to be a competent off-piste skiier!
The Camp Itinerary
Day 1 Travel to Morzine. If you are flying to Geneva Airport you will be met at the airport by your transfer driver and driven directly to the chalet. Evening welcome meeting. Day 2 The first day is an unguided, warm-up day. The AliKats team will recommend where best to ski based on the prevailing weather and ground conditions. In the evening there'll be a briefing with the guides/instructors and discussion about the plans for the next 5 days Day 3-7 5 days of off-piste and backcountry adventure. The course combines fantastic off-piste skiing with sessions on ski touring skills, mountain & avalanche awareness, off-piste instruction. Weather permitting you'll enjoy a 2 day hut tour with an overnight stay in a mountain refuge. Where you'll ski: - classic off-piste runs around Avoriaz & Les Crosets - secret runs through the trees near Les Lindarets - off-piste descents around Mossette and Le Linga. - the off-piste around Torgon - the renowned Swiss Wall and the Vallee de La Manche, one of the region's off-piste classics. - the area around Nyon and Chamossiere Day 8 Depart after breakfast
